I can’t believe it’s already December! Only one month left of 2014~ So much has happened this year, I feel like time has been escaping me. I wanted to update you all as to what’s been going on with me and why I haven’t posted in a while(yikes)! One month ago I had a bad accidental fall which resulted in a very serious concussion and a lot of head-to-toe bruising. This time last year when I was planning on how exciting my 2014 would be I definitely wouldn’t have imagined that I would be spending the latter part of my year in bed with a brain injury! As I am writing this, all I can say is that I am SO beyond grateful and thankful to be healthy and alive, and simply beyond words excited to even have the brain capacity to write this post! As a result of the injury I lost part of my memory for a time(yes, that’s been quite interesting!), and had a problem doing even the simplest of tasks, like being able to formulate a sentence, or trying to remember certain words! For someone like myself who writes and speaks for a living, and to whom words came very easy to, being at a loss for them was a beyond strange and uncomfortable experience! That said, after a month of bed/brain rest, I am finally slowly but surely coming out from my brain fog(although I can’t guaranteed that this post will be quite as clear as my past posts as details are still a little fuzzy)!
With hopeful anticipation, I am taking positive steps to get back into my groove and finally complete things that were so close to being done before this accident(one being my book edit, finally)! Things may still seem somewhat foggy, but after spending so much time laying around in yoga pants and pajamas, I am actually extremely excited to get dressed up and head out to celebrate for the holidays! Let me tell you that wearing a little shimmer and shine will make any girl feel like the Queen she was born to be! For those of you that know my style, getting dressed up means shimmer worn in a subtle, not sparkly, vintage way, but shining none the less! Also, a key styling tip is that it should never be about head-to-toe shine, but rather about that key piece that makes a statement. Here are some of my personal faves for dressing up this holiday season! I want you to go for the gold, and let yourself shine inside and out!!!! Tis’ the season! xo revolveclothing
